CHARGERS EARN COMEBACK VICTORY OVER RAVENS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/20/21) The Dominican College women’s basketball team improved to 5-0 on the season after an 86-80 win over the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University.

Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) finished the game with a team-leading 18 points. Suarez also added four rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) scored 17 points including five three-pointers. Latimer added four rebounds and two assists.
Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) finished with 16 points, five assists, and two rebounds. Casey Carangelo (Thomaston, Conn.) earned a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points.
For the Ravens, Emma Carter led all scorers with 29 points. Carter also added six rebounds and two assists. Rylee Skinner added 24 points and five rebounds. Ines Gimenez Monserrat recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The Chargers completed a comeback victory after trailing by 18 points early in the first quarter.
The Ravens scored the first 15 points of the game before the Chargers got on the board.
DC ended the run when Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) scored the first points of the game for the Chargers. The Chargers finished the first quarter outscoring Franklin Pierce 15-12 and cut the deficit to 12 points by the start of the second quarter.
The Chargers bounced back in the second quarter by outscoring the Ravens 27-9. Mills led charge with 11 second quarter points. Mills went 3 for 3 from three-point range in the quarter. Suarez added eight points in the quarter.
DC took the lead in the second quarter and held a 42-36 lead at halftime.
The Chargers extended to their largest lead of the game over the Ravens which was 14 points in the fourth quarter.
The Ravens cut the DC lead to four but the Chargers never lost the lead for the remainder of the game and secured the win.
Dominican will be back in action on Saturday, November 27th when they host Assumption College at 1:00 PM.
