BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing in their final home game of the season, the University of Bridgeport's men's basketball team was defeated by Bloomfield on Wednesday by a score of 90-66.
Graduate student Sam DeSouza served as a bright spot for the Purple Knights. The Brooklyn native tallied a team-high 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
Jayden Iturmendi led the Purple Knights with six rebounds while chipping in eight points. Junior Nick Traill dished out a team-high four assists while recording a team-best three steals.
As a unit, the Purple Knights shot 27-of-77 (35.1%) from the field—including 4-from-34 from three-point land. Bridgeport finished with nine steals in the game.
