WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO NON-CONFERENCE OPPONENT PACE UNIVERSITY

With the loss, the Chargers fall to 6-4 overall on the season and the Setters improve to 7-1 overall.
Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) scored a team-high 21 points and added five rebounds and two blocks. Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) finished with 13 points while Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) added 11 points.
Casey Carangelo (Thomaston, Conn.) scored eight points and recorded a team-leading 14 rebounds for the Chargers.
For Pace, Lauren Schetter led all scorers with 29 points and added nine rebounds. Lauren Hackett finished with 25 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Naya Rivera finished with a team-leading 10 rebounds while Tower Lorde added nine points and eight rebounds.
At the end of the first quarter, the Setters held a 16-11 lead over DC. The Chargers outscored Pace in the second quarter 21-17 and trailed by one point at halftime 33-32.
The Chargers played a solid third quarter by putting up 27 points and were led by Tomlinson's nine third quarter points to help jump out in front by the start of the fourth quarter.
The Setters outscored DC 24-11 in the fourth quarter and were led by Lauren Schetter's 11 fourth quarter points to help secure the win over the Chargers.
DC will look to bounce back when they travel to Nova Southeastern on Saturday, December 18th at 1:00 PM.
