Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/19/21) The Dominican College women's basketball team improved to 4-0 on the season after downing the Hawks of Saint Anselm College, 77-43, this afternoon in game one of the 8th Annual Regina Rivera Memorial Tournament.

Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) and Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) both led DC with 13 points a-piece. Tomlinson pulled down seven rebounds with three blocks, while Suarez added five assists and four steals.
Graduate student Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) contributed 11 points and five rebounds, while Casey Carangelo (Thomaston, Conn.) tallied seven boards.
Oliva Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) scored seven points, four rebounds and four assists with Maria Enrich Tasias (Odena, Spain) netted nine points, both in reserve. Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) also came off the bench to tally seven points, going 3-6 from the floor.
As a team, the Lady Chargers shot 49.2% from the floor, 41.2% from the three point arc and a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe.
Gabby Turco led Saint Anselm with 14 points and five rebounds.
The Hawks led 3-2 with 8:46 left in the first half when Dominican used an 11-3 run to jump ahead 13-6. DC would never trail again in the contest, leading by as many as 34 points (62-26) with 9:36 left in regulation.
Dominican will take on Franklin Pierce University in their final game of the 8th Annual Regina Rivera Memorial Tournament tomorrow at 12pm on Coach Baxter Court.
