Orangeburg, N.Y. – The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team fell to the Dominican University Chargers Wednesday evening 71-99. Dominican took the lead just 73 seconds into the game and never gave it up to take the comfortable victory. The loss drops UB's season record to 3-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Sam DeSouza (Grad., Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 19 points as he went 9-of-11 from the floor while adding five rebounds and three blocks.
Senior Tim Dawson (New Haven, Conn.) registered 19 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists.
D'Andre Collins (Sr., Newark, N.J.) chipped in nine points with three rebounds.
Jayden Iturmendi (Rs-Sr., York, Pa.) added eight points in addition to five rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block.
Up next, UB will be back in action after a stretch off on Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m. as they host the Yellow Jackets of American International College.
