FINAL MEN'S RECAP

It took a global health scare to prematurely end the 2019-20 college basketball season, which means there will be no regional at Bridgeport beginning Saturday and no Elite-8 later this month... the first time since the inaugural Division 2 (then-named College Division) Tournament in 1957. Congratulations to all eight teams in the regional field that were all six wns away from a national championship but were denied, through no one's fault, that opportunity. A special shout-out to all the seniors, who will forever seek proper closure to their careers as their final games had no true finality to them. You all deserved better, as did the familes, coaches and supporters of all the teams. Alas, the harsh realities of life rudely interfered and gave all of us a sobering perspective.

Stay tuned in about two weeks for a season-ending Around the Rim column. Lots of post-mortem material to review and comment on. Until then, everyone, all of us at D2EastHoops.org humbly thank you for your interest and support. We wish you health, safety and prosperity during this challenging time.
