* Thursday's sole contest was a CACC South Division meeting in New Jersey where Georgian Court put the brakes on a ten-game skid with an 86-81 victory over Philadelphia, their first against the Rams in more than four years. Alliyah Berger (23 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists), Jaelyn Tweedy (22 points, 9-12 FG) and Jada Atchison (16 points, 6 assists) led the charge for the Lions, who shot 49% overall and buried 8-15 from three-point land to annex their second league decision of the campaign. Despite the setback, Philadelphia received career-highs from Jessica Kaminski (27 points, 6-10 FG, 15-20 FT) and Rachel Day (25 points, 7 rebounds). GCU assumed control with a 29-4 stretch in the first half, flipping a 12-7 deficit (4:46 of the first quarter) into a 36-16 lead with 6:10 left in the half. The gap stood at 48-33 at the break and didn't change much after three periods (GCU, 63-49). It was a 68-54 tally at the 8:10 mark when the Rams finally crafted a serious run, an 11-0 spell (during which Kaminski and Day scored all the points) that shaved GCU's lead to 68-65 (5:10). Berger and Tweedy made back-to-back hoops to push the lead back to 72-65 (3:01) but Philadelphia kept coming and eventually drew within 80-78 after a pair of Kaminski foul shots with 20 seconds on the clock. Atchison made 3-4 at the line and Kaminski matched that with a basket and a single free throw to create an 83-81 scoreline at the :11 mark. After an intentional foul, Nijiera Anderson split a pair of foul shots with eight seconds left for the Lions (84-81). Berger then missed a pair after the ensuing inbounds but Anderson grabbed the rebound of the second miss, leading to a pair of Berger freebies which iced the game. The Rams shot 42% overall but didn't match the Lions from deep territory (4-15 3FG), meaning they've lost four in a row yet are still alive in the CACC South Division playoff race (they need wins over Holy Family and Wilmington as well as having WU lose to Goldey-Beacom to qualify). Both teams had good games with the ball (GCU 25/16 assist/turnover ratio; Philadelphia's was 13/11) but poor nights at the line (PU 21-34 FT; GCU 14-29 FT).
