* The 2017 NCAA Division II East Regional field is set for this weekend at Adelphi's Center for Recreation and Sport in Garden City, NY. The host Panthers will open the evening portion of the first round on Friday; here is the slate for the regional:
Friday, March 10: (#6) University of the Sciences vs. (#3) Bentley, noon (#7) Assumption vs. (#2) Queens, 2:30 (#8) NYIT @ (#1) Adelphi, 5 (#5) Molloy vs. (#4) Caldwell, 7:30.
Saturday, March 11: (#1 Adelphi/#8 NYIT) vs. (#4 Caldwell/#5 Molloy), 5 (#2 Queens/#7 Assumption) vs. (#3 Bentley/#6 University of the Sciences), 7:30.
Monday, March 13: Semifinal winners, 7
* There is one other regional team in action, as Roberts Wesleyan begins defense of its NCCAA Division I national title. The Redhawks open Midwest Regional action on Friday against Indiana Wesleyan (in Rochester) and should they win, RWC will face either Ohio Christian or Lancaster Bible on Saturday (also in Rochester) for a trip to the national tournament.
