Women's Game Recaps #34 - 1/10/19

Thursday’s only regional game produced the expected result as Jefferson crushed Nyack in a CACC crossover matchup, 91-50. Alynna Williams (25 points, 6 assists; 10-17 FG) led a parade of four double digits scorers for the unbeaten Rams with Caitlyn Cunningham (22 points, 6 assists; 9-12 FG) also shining. A fast start (14-3) staked Jefferson to an early lead and they stayed in attack mode, winning all four quarters. The halftime tally was 45-21 and the Rams increased it to 67-36 after three frames on the way to their sixteenth consecutive win. Jessica Kaminski (13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists) and Beverly Kum (13 points) added double figures for the Rams, who shot a crisp 58% overall and posted a neat 24/11 assist/turnover ratio. The Warriors contributed to their own demise by committing 26 turnovers, leading to a 32-9 Rams advantage in points-off-TO’s. Torie Eggers (14 points) and Elle Nittinger (12 points) topped a Nyack stat sheet which saw them shoot better from three-point land (10-27 3FG) than inside the arc (8-35 2FG) as a team.
