Women's Game Recaps #70 - 3/11/20

* Roberts Wesleyan continued their season in the NCCAA Division I Midwest regional tournament on Wednesday and went down to a 92-62 defeat at Cedarville (Ohio). The Redhawks, who finished the year on a four-game slide, fell behind right away and never held a lead. The game was relatively close in the first half, with the Yellow Jackets (21-8) leading by as many as eleven points before settling for a 33-27 halftime edge. The hosts blew the game open within the first three minutes of the restart, more than doubling their advantage with a 12-0 surge (45-27, 7:04). RWC was unable to make any sort of run in response and fell into a 65-42 hole after three periods. Emily Miller (16 points, 9 rebounds) and Taryn Wilson (10 points, 6 caroms) led the way for the Redhawks, who were out-shot (48%-39%) and didn’t take good care of the ball (10 assists, 22 turnovers). Cedarville compiled a neat 20/10 assist/turnover ratio and drilled 15-30 from three-point land while placing four players in double figures, led by Isabelle Bolender (13 points).
